Tools to elevate how you care for orphaned and vulnerable children

  • Are you an administrator of a children’s care facility (CCF)?
  • Are you looking for ways to help identify and improve the care for children in your home?
  • Do you need access to more training and resources for you or your caregivers?
  • Do you want to collaborate with others working in orphan & vulnerable child (OVC) care that face challenges just like you?

At A Child’s Hope, we know how hard your job is, and that’s why we created the Thrive Collective. We want to share tools and help build communities that make a difference for you and the lives of the children you serve.

Thrive Collective

The Thrive Collective at A Child’s Hope is a free global network that brings together diverse stakeholders working to improve the lives of children in vulnerable situations.

This community includes a network of orphanage directors, caregivers, NGO administrators, social workers, therapists, government officials, and many others who are passionate about serving orphaned and vulnerable children. There is no fee to participate in the Thrive Collective, and virtual training events are held regularly. If you’d like to attend an upcoming event or join our community, click the link below!

Thrive Assessment & Improvement Roadmap

Building on the UN’s 1959 Declaration of the Rights of the Child, A Child’s Hope Foundation grouped those rights into standards, each with a set of questions that make up the Thrive Assessment — a tool for residential facilities to check whether vulnerable children are getting the care they need. Complete it every six months to chart your progress.

Your answers automatically generate an Improvement Roadmap: a visual plan of next steps and strategic initiatives you can share with staff, board members, government officers, and donors.

Together these are the Thrive Tools. Our Thrive Tools Training will show you how to get the most out of them.

How to Start

While we recommend completing the Thrive Tools Training first, if you are excited and ready to complete the Thrive Assessment, you can start right away using the link below. You’ll be able to start and save progress as you go.

Additionally, homes who complete the assessment will be automatically considered for an exclusive opportunity to receive custom virtual training and coaching. Limited spots are available, so don’t miss your chance! Complete the assessment and we will follow up if you are selected.
